The Fraleys of East Smithfield, PA

Glenn Fraley

Glenn Fraley is the second son (following George and preceding Robert) of Harry and Anna Fraley. He is now deceased and preceeded his wife Raymah in death. Glenn and Raymah were the parents of four children, Glenda, Rebeccah, Elizabeth and Thomas, and lived their married life in Athens, PA. Glenn also worked for part of his adult life for his older brother, George Fraley, at George’s garage in Athens, PA, serving as a Parts Manager. He also worked at the Ingersoll Rand Company, also in Athens, PA., and also in the television business, including installing television antennae on the roofs of several homes in Athens and thereabouts. For a period of time, Glenn and Raymah Fraley lived adjacent Robert and Jane Fraley on Second Street in Athens.

The photos are of a young Glenn (age 17) shown holding a shovel, while working with his 2 brothers George and Robert and his father Harry as taken on July 29, 1932, likely at the Fraley Farm in East Smithfield, PA. and much younger, likely 6 or 7, taken in the early 1920’s. For a full picture of Glenn and others, including him with his young brothers, see the ADULT and OLD Photos Section.
